Bio

A 1985 Graduate from Nauvoo-Colusa Jr/Sr high school, Shawn has spent the last 20 years utilizing his outgoing personality and creative mind to build, develop and succeed at several entrepreneurial conquests.

During the course of his career Shawn has studied under several recognized professionals in the marketing field, including the late master sales trainer Warren Wechsler, author of the acclaimed book Total Selling, Roy H. Williams, NY Times Best Selling author of Secret Formulas of the Wizard of Ads., Steve Clark, Founder of New School Selling and John Jantz, Founder of Duct Tape Marketing and author of The Referral Engine.

Shawn currently resides in Douds, Iowa with Susan, his wife of 18 years and their 3 daughters. During Susan’s time as an active duty member of the USAF in Europe, Shawn saw an opportunity to connect property investors and landlords together with active duty military personnel. From 1992 to 1993 Shawn developed professional relationships with United States Air Force personnel, British Civil Service members and English property owners/investors and enthusiastically managed those relationships for mutually beneficial business transactions. This opportunity became the first of Shawn’s many successful business creations.

In 1995, the USAF relocated Susan to Southwest Oklahoma. It was here that Shawn established Shawn’s Custom Car Care, a mobile automotive reconditioning shop. Over the next seven years, he established himself as a reputable, knowledgeable representative in the field. As an added feature of his mobile automotive reconditioning shop, he wrote, published and direct marketed a 126-page home study course and on-site training program for detailers entitled How To Earn $15-$60 Per Hour Pro-Detailing Cars, Trucks & Vans.

From 1999 until 2008, Shawn joined and thrived as a team member in sales and marketing with Harper Brush Company. During his 8 year involvement with the company he developed the companies first sales peer group, an extremely low-cost, integrated sales training system for Harper’s new sales representatives, resulting in a $240,000 corporate savings and a $1.4 million increase in sales.

In 2009, Shawn joined the sales team at Gregory Container where he is currently managing a 5-state territory serving customers in the waste and recycling industry. Working independently from a home office, traveling 4 days per week, he oversees 300 plus accounts.

Shawn is responsible for founding the first Customer Advisory Board at Gregory Container. These Boards build a better working relationship between customers and the company. Within 3 months of the Boards’ inception, the company received an unexpected $196,626 order from one member. In addition, one product improvement idea from the Board resulted in direct product enhancement that gave birth to a new $85,015 order with almost no additional hard costs to the company.

In 2010, Shawn wrote and distributed his first eBook, Peer Teleconferencing for Fun & Profit, where he shares his knowledge and expertise with others across the web. How he brought proven results through Customer Advisory Boards and Organized Peer Group Conferencing is explained in detail, making it easy for anyone in sales and marketing to apply his techniques and see phenomenal results in their field.

Using both his learned and inherent skills of motivation and coaching and professional sales skills, Shawn teaches professionals of a like mind how to create a climate of camaraderie. One where peers can turn to each other to work through challenges, discuss how to handle difficult situations, and inspire each other toward ever-higher goals.
